We are pleased to announce that Sam Galloway was chosen as the successful candidate from a number of excellent applicants for the Summer Experience Program through the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries.


Sam joined our team at the end of June as our Program Assistant and will be with us for 10 weeks. You may receive some communications from Sam as we work through our summer operations and he will be joining us at our upcoming training camps. Be sure to welcome Sam to the team!

The Ontario Speed Skating Association is accepting nominations for this year’s annual awards!

These awards recognize this season’s outstanding achievement of athletes, and the volunteers and organizations that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the sport of speed skating in the Province of Ontario. Nominations can be made by any OSSA member. A selection committee, established by the OSSA Board of Directors, will review all nominations and select the winner for each category.

Nominations can be submitted for one or several categories. The nomination form will prompt the nominator for names and supporting information for each nominee.

Nominations are due by Friday June 24, 2022.

The Ontario Speed Skating Association (OSSA) is hiring a student through the 2022 Summer Experience Program (SEP), funded by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries and OSSA. The intention of the program is to provide career related experience to eligible students who are also eligible to work in Ontario. The Ontario Speed Skating Association will hire a Program Assistant responsible for providing support to OSSA programs and initiatives.
