Entries are now being accepted by OSSA for Short Track Canada Cup Final (Quebec City, March 25-27) and Short Track Canada Cup Junior Final (Richmond, March 18-20).

Skaters that want to be considered for Short Track Canada Cup Final or Junior Final must send the following information to sportmanager@ontariospeedskating.ca by 11:59pm on Thursday February 24:

- SSC# (can be found on IceReg) - Birthdate - Age as of July 1, 2021 - Club - Accurate fastest 500m and 1500m times skated since August 1, 2021 including the date and location skated

Skaters competing on the February 26-27 weekend must send any updated PBs to OSSA promptly once they are skated and confirmed so that OSSA can meet SSC's entry deadline for these events.

Please note that skaters based at a training centre out of province must also submit their name and information to OSSA, as registration for National Events is completed by each Provincial/Territorial branch.

We are optimistic that the Toronto Phase 3 Meet scheduled for February 6, 2022 in Toronto may be able to proceed. Registration will open on Sunday January 23. Entries are being accepted through Clubs only. Individual skaters must contact their Club Meet Registrar to register for this meet.

Please note that this meet is subject to change or cancellation depending on COVID-19 restrictions. The event may be run as two half-day cohorts based on registrations. A final schedule will be released during the first week of February.

See the Meet Announcement for all available meet details. Information about Phase 3 meets can be found in the OSSA Technical Bulletin starting on page 13.

Eligibility for Phase 3 Meets includes skaters with an OSSA competitive membership who are aged 11+ as of July 1, 2021 and who have raced in at least 1 Interclub (Phase 2) Meet in the 2021- 2022 season.

The Ontario Provincial Long Track Championships are scheduled to take place on January 29-30, 2022 in Ottawa at the Brewer Park Oval. This outdoor meet is weather permitting and dependent upon COVID regulations and restrictions.

A modified racing format has been created to meet all current regulations. Only Olympic Style racing will take place. The Technical Bulletin can be found on the Technical Bulletins page of the OSSA website.

Skaters with an OSSA competitive membership who are aged 9 years old and above as of July 1, 2021 are eligible for the Ontario Provincial Long Track Championships. Out-of-Province skaters aged 9 years old and above are eligible to participate if space allows and if all COVID regulations can be followed. Out-of-Province skaters are not eligible for Provincial medals. All affected persons, as specified in the Ontario Speed Skating Vaccination Policy, are required to be Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19 for this event. Entry deadline: Monday January 24, 2022 11:59pm. OSSA reserves the right to accept registrations after this date, depending on capacity. Register HERE
